FAQS

Class FAQs

What is the cost of a class?

Do we have sanitizing stations and do you require to wear a mask?

It says doors open 15 minutes beforehand - do I need to get there that early?

Can I reserve seats for our entire group?

Most classes are $40pp for adults but you can find the exact cost when you select an image from the calendar under our Classes tab. Various medium choices to choose from!

Yes, we have plenty of hand sanitizer and three sinks in the front room where you can wash your hands when entering. Studio is cleaned prior to and after the event and disinfectant sprays are in each restroom to be used after each single use.

No. We open the door 15 minutes early to allow people extra time to socialize and get situated. When we have large classes (which you'll recognize by a low “Seats Remaining” number on the registration page or if it’s sold out), we recommend arriving right after the doors open because seating is first come first serve.

Yes. We allow you to reserve seats together as long as they all arrive by the time class starts. Pease contact us if you would like to sit with another guest.

What To Expect At The Studio

What supplies do you provide for class?

What should I wear?

What type of beverage can I bring to drink?

Do you have wine openers and cups, and can I bring food?

We supply everything you need for a class but the bubbly: a canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, smocks, aprons, etc.  If we offer a special class, we will indicate if you need to bring additional supplies in the class description.

We provide knee-length aprons, but since paint can damage your clothing, we think it's best to wear something you wouldn't mind with an additional color or two.

We are a BYOB, so you can bring beer or wine, as long as you can verify your age.

For your convenience, we do have wine and bottle openers as well as disposable cups, straws and ice.  Food/Snacks are permitted but you must provide your own plates and utensils.

Just a heads up... there is a pet occasionally in the studio during closed and certain class events. Posting this for your information just in case you exhibit allergies to pets.

(Please call-in advance if you have any questions regarding this matter.)

Scheduling

Do I need to sign up in advance?

When is the new schedule released?

What happens if the weather is bad on the night I am scheduled to paint?

I missed a painting that I really want to create.  How often will you repeat paintings?

Yes. We want our artists to concentrate on what they do best. So, to make their life easier, we make sure they know exactly how many people they’ll be leading ahead of time.

We post the schedule three weeks in advance. Join our email list to get a sneak peek of the monthly calendar via email a few days before the online posting.

The studio will be open if classes are scheduled. We will contact everyone on the list via e-mail and/or phone you provide if we need to close the studio, and we will post all closings on the home page of the website. If we close the studio due to inclement weather, you will not be charged for class.

If you let us know, we will keep this in mind when scheduling the next month’s painting roster!

Company Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

What time do I need to arrive for a class?

What is the age requirement for class?

Are we required to tip the instructor?

We limit the number of painters for our classes because of the size of the studio, and we want to create the best experience for our guests. If you have signed up for one of our classes, and you cannot attend for any reason, you will be granted a full refund as long as you notify us at least 48 hours before the start of the class. That will give us a chance to contact other interested guests who may be able to attend in your place.

In the event that you need to cancel, reschedule, or modify a class registration on notice of less than 48 hours (but not less than 6 hours), we cannot refund your money, but we will issue you a voucher for a future class without penalty. If you cancel, reschedule, or modify less than 6 hours before the start of the class, or if you fail to attend without notice, we are unable to refund or give you a voucher since we are not able to replace you with other guests.

We open the doors 15 minutes before class. We recommend getting there at least 10 minutes early to get acclimated before the fun starts! Arriving late to class can disrupt the flow of instruction and limits how much fun you'll have, so if you arrive after the start time, we will ask you to reschedule.

Social Painting classes and Open Studio are for big kids. That being said, we understand that many families have aspiring artists under their roof, so children under 18 are kindly asked to be accompanied by an adult if attending a Tipsy Painting class. Young artists can also check out our Kreative Kids classes.

Although it is by no means necessary, if you feel that you would like to tip one of our artists at Tipsy Paint, they greatly appreciate recognizing their hard work.
